This project was conducted as a research exercise to explore potential locations for the Miami CF's stadium.

Unrelated to the project but happening at the time, there was a lot of discussion about the Miami Marine Stadium and efforts to either restore or demolish it. In this scenario, it had been demolished.

Drawing inspiration from the openness and geometry of the structure adjacent to the bay, I envisioned an abstract urchin.

The structural method employed by Hilario Candela in the Miami Marine Stadium became an integral part of my stadium proposal with some modifications. Our goal was to achieve clear and unobstructed views of the games in a relatively small seating venue, while maintaining a low profile to avoid competing with the two iconic buildings adjacent to the Museum Park, namely the Triple A (Now the Kesaya Center) and PAMM (Perez Art Museum Miami), which had recently been completed.

Ultimately the stadium location was selected on the Miami Dade Golf Course, just East of Miami International Airport. See article
