WATERCOLOR

This was one of the first watercolors I did, and was thinking of what I would like to get good at painting. Naturally what came to mind are the Slash Pines, Mangroves and Seagrapes all incredibly intricate subjects to paint.

Running in Downtown Miami along the seawall, I started to time my runs to beat the sunrise or to be approaching it near the end of my run. The sunrise could be painted everyday and it would not tire. This is just one of the many spectacular sunrises I seen.

This is a digital watercolor. This was me in the process of making some shirts. The big idea was to die the base of the shirt with the a proper background and then silkscreen detail foreground lines on of top it. This foreground to background work is on going.

One of the favorite place to setup my hammock and take a good nap is Morning Side Park. There breeze mixed with view of the Biscayne Bay Islands and the obstructed view of the Buildings on the beach are magical. The winding seagrape trunks create these loops and knot shapes that frame the bay.

Done on my 2023 Q1 Retreat - I was mesmerized by the light and layering of wilderness I was waking up to every morning. In the distance there was a foggy berm between the river and the swamp. A ton of bald cypress, some diving and others standing in the bright green pond scum. On dry land some oaks and Florida Maples, and finally the roof of the cabin.
Done in my Arch Communications class between 2008 - 2010 Seems unfinished without the context.
